Enterprise Risk Technology is the technology partner to the Chief Risk Office - (Credit Risk, Market Risk, Non-Financial Risk and Enterprise Risk Management), X-Value Adjustments and Official Markets Profit and Loss production functions. This includes definition of the Information Technology (IT) strategy and provision of solutions to allow the business to manage all aspects of risk

The risk domain is undergoing significant transformation in order to meet the many regulatory and associated business demand. There are exciting developments to enable massive compute (> 1 trillion calculations a day), big data analytics, complex workflow automation and the introduction of Machine Learning/Artificial Intelligence. All of this is part of the vision to offer Risk as a Service as part of the broader Digital Bank Strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

* Working with Credit Risk Management technology Chief Information Office, central IT functions and CRM business to help define the overall domain architecture strategy and associated transformation roadmap
* Ensuring alignment with broader organisational strategy/business plans and in particular the Risk as a Service initiative
* Communicating complex and broad range of information pertaining to the solution and roadmap clearly and appropriately catered to for different levels (Managing Director to junior developers) and functions (Close The Bank, Run The Bank, Business management, EA, development teams etc ) both within IT and the business
* Getting consensus on the solution and roadmap, ensuring buy in to the proposed architecture by all stakeholders
* Determining the non-functional requirements such as data volumes, through put performance, data retention requirements, authorisation/authentication etc. in order to ensure solutions are scalable, robust, allow for agile change and meet any project Service Level Agreement's and regulatory requirements
* Identifying functional gaps and translates to new applications (if required), new data feeds or how to extend/enhance existing systems
* Facing off to regulators and audit with regards to architecture strategy
* Producing relevant artefacts including architecture blueprints, decision logs and technical solution documents

Skills & Qualifications:

* Experience with solution architecture definition and development of associated roadmaps - particularly at the functional/domain as well as cross domain level
* Experience working in the financial industry and in particular risk technology
* Must have Credit Risk Management Technology experience including Credit risk management lifecycle (pre deal, internal rating production, limits management Workout/recovery etc)
* Familiar with Key Risk Metrics within the credit risk management space (including PFE/EPE, SA-CCR etc.) and associated stress testing regimes
* Broad understanding of data and its usage within financial industry including reference, trade/transaction, market, legal/agreements and risk data
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal including ability to relay complex information to a variety of end users from developers to senior managing directors within the business
* Proactively, initiate, develop and maintain effective working relationships with team members and the business
* Must have software development background in order to effectively engage with platform leads and developers
* Ability to assimilate large quantities of information in short periods of time
* Educated to Bachelor's degree level or equivalent qualification/relevant work experience, (Subject such as Physics, Mathematics, Engineering or Computer Science would be beneficial)
