Role Purpose

* The incumbent will work with clients, both internal and external, to develop innovative Digital Solutions that place client experience at the centre of our product process.
* Demonstrate strong understanding of the Global Business and Product Strategies, Market Insights and our Customer Needs to help Digital & Data Product Management drive positive client centric innovation across HSS.
* Use industry, client & product knowledge to assess the Digital Opportunities in the market through engagement with Software Consultancies, Vendors & Fintechs.
* Build positive and innovative partnerships with Clients, Colleagues, Market Participants, and Financial Technology organisations (FinTechs).
* To contribute to wider innovation initiatives across HSS, and the broader HSBC group, including Corporate & Institutional Digital.
* Provide strong product direction as part of the Product Discovery and Product Development lifecycles; the role holder will seek out the voice of the client, gain & interpret client feedback on new developments and prototypes to help shape the applications and services for use.
* Work closely with HOST functions to support product deliveries aligned to our HSS Digital Strategy
* The job holder will offer extensive technical expertise within their respective Digital & Data Product function in order to support strategic developments that are aligned to the HSBC Group & HSBC Securities (HSS) business priorities/services.

Role Context:

* The Digital Solutions Product team resides within HSS Digital & Data Product which is part of our Global Product Management function supporting: HSS Global Custody and Fund Services, alongside Issuer Services, Global Trustee & Fiduciary Services and Banks and Broker servicing, providing coverage across all client sectors.
* The HSS Digital & Data product group has been created to provide leadership and direction in the field of Digital initiatives within HSS, including defining the data strategy requirements to support the provision of new digital services.
* The Digital Solutions Product Management team is tasked with the creation of new Digital client experiences utilising new technologies and channels.
* The Digital Solutions team is responsible for the definition, design and maintenance of our Digital products and services across our key markets in order to achieve revenue growth, cost management and principles of global standards.
* The team work very closely with our HOST innovation partners in Strategy, Innovation, Architecture (SIA), as well as with the Global Design, Build, Support (DBS) teams.
* An experienced and motivated Product Analyst is required to join the team, and support the Digital Solutions Product function. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of collaborating with internal and external partners and clients and have a focus on delighting our clients with new Digital experiences and wow moments





Key Accountabilities

* Product Discovery - The process of designing HSS Digital Value Propositions to meet the needs of our clients and validating ideas through continuous feedback.
* Product Development - Developing ideas with colleagues and clients with the goal of deploying digital services that add business value for HSS and our customers.
* Product Marketing - Development of marketing materials, execution of communication strategies through digital mediums (Web, Video, Animation)
* Documentation analysis with regards to the impact on Product & Operating Model
* Product design documentation and finalisation of target product model and estimation of deployment.
* Business case definition to enable stakeholder understanding and obtain approval to proceed.
* Close interaction with DBS, Service delivery, HOST IT and relevant functional teams to respond to questions and oversee the shape of
* Development & delivery.
* Development and maintenance of product collateral, including sale (marketing materials), service definitions and user guides.
* Supporting Sales & Business Development with product demonstrations of our available online tool set during RFP's
* Preparing and presenting at Internal Client Focus forms to our external Client base
* Actively manage internal stakeholders to ensure that HSS services delivered via digital channels are aligned to client needs.
* Contribute to the development and execution of the HSS Digital & Data strategic plan
* Drive and engage in activities which further increase the profile in the market of HSBC as a leading provider of securities services
* Maintain regular client interaction where required and provide specialist knowledge and experience as required
* Actively manage internal stakeholders to ensure that HSS services delivered via digital channels are aligned to client needs.
* Support periodic reviews of product roadmaps in collaboration with product and sector heads to determine 1-3 year developments.
