The Supplier Management team and Vendor Manager own the management of the larger and more complex Corporate Investment Banking (CIB) contracts, in addition to acting as a central point of contact to support CIB with the management of the supplier contracts under their ownership. In addition to the CIB, Chief Information Officer (CIO) and Service Delivery team, the area partners with Legal, Information and Resilience Risk Management, Third Party Management; Data Protection, Compliance and Group Audit. The team help to build an understanding of the CIB supplier landscape and the service offerings of the strategic suppliers, identifying opportunities for the Bank.

Key Responsibilities:

* Owning the management of the contract and compliance with all obligations of the Post-Deal Management Policy
* Supporting the Contract Managers in the CIB Division with the management of their supplier contracts and verifying that they are complying with all obligations of the Post-Deal Management Policy
* Managing strategic suppliers and acting as a central interface between Deutsche Bank partners and the supplier
* Optimising the contract and supplier portfolio to achieve cost savings, reduce complexity and minimise contractual risk
* Managing contract renewals, including price negotiation
* Escalating contract and commercial issues, where appropriate
* Ensuring supplier performance remediation is undertaken
* Identifying and mitigating commercial and contract risks
* Providing oversight of internal and/or external audits, Vendor Control Assessment and Control Function audits
* Performing contract benchmarks and executing price/contract adjustments, according to the results
* Supporting and facilitating key supplier governance meetings
* Developing the Supplier Management processes and policies

Skills & Qualifications:

* Previous experience in supplier and contract management (in the Financial Services industry would be particularly beneficial)
* Ability to deal with Managing Director-level stakeholders
* Excellent commercial, influencing and relationship skills
* A capacity for critical thinking and analysis, with strong negotiation skills
* Ability to read, understand and analyse complex technology supply contracts (Information Technology services, software and hosting)
* A strong team ethic and able to work in a virtual global team, operating in a matrix organisation
* Ability to manage a high workload, to work independently and plan your work to meet deadlines
* Experience of identifying and delivering process improvement in a complex operating environment
* Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel, Word and PowerPoint
