Overall purpose of role
The primary objective of this role is to support the Service Managers in continuously identifying and exploring opportunities to improve performance of all aspects of Desktop Services.
The role will focus on identifying and providing quality analysis and management information across many aspects of the ITIL disciplines of Service Design, Transition and Operations, with a particular focus on the key cornerstones of Incident, Problem and Change. Identification of trends and helping to obtain relevant information are key to supporting effective decision making processes, exposing inefficiencies, performing impact assessments and facilitating on-going reviews across the different services for which we are responsible.
The role holder is responsible for managing a number of aspects:
Management Information - Identifying the appropriate data sources and information required to produce Management Information summaries, trend analysis and detailed information to enable informed decisions. Being proactive in terms of considering any future data requirements and how this can be obtained, pre-empt any gaps etc.
Business Improvement - Able to analyse information / situations and provide some initial findings, recommendations or considerations for Service Managers to explore in more detail.
Stakeholder Management - Collaborate with Service Mangers in understanding their requirements and how best to support them, providing regular progress updates, communicating in appropriate ways and managing their expectations on analyst deliverables and activities.
Risk and Control Objective
All colleagues must ensure that all activities and duties are carried out in full compliance with regulatory requirements, Enterprise Wide Risk Management Framework and internal Barclays Policies and Policy Standards
* A confident and motivated individual, with experience working in a challenging / high pressure environment.
* Change agent willing to challenge.
* Experience of working in a global organisation preferably spanning infrastructure, applications and/or operational environments
* Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and analyst tools / capabilities
* Proven ability to extract information required to support problem solving / decision making
* An understanding of ITIL Foundation
