You'll be joining the Financial Crime Investigations team, which ensures that the systems it is tasked with monitoring are, at all times, operating and being used in accordance with all relevant legal and regulatory Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Counter Terrorist Financing (CTF) requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

* Providing support for the Head and Deputy Head of Financial Crime Investigations Unit
* Managing investigative productivity at an individual and team level, dealing with any associated performance and development issues
* Ensuring the highest possible investigative standards at a team and individual level, applying robust Quality control and assurance processes
* Providing leadership and daily management to a team which is tasked with AML investigations of all Internal escalations (Legal, Business Intelligence Unit, Anti-Fraud, Bribery and Corruption etc) and escalations from Alert Investigations Team (Transaction Monitoring Alerts)
* Ensuring that direct reports are sufficiently trained to fulfil their roles and that they receive regular/ongoing training, whilst maintaining up-to-date training records
* Ensuring that direct reports Human Resource processes are managed. This will include objective setting, regular 1-2-1s, mid-year/annual appraisals and documenting career development plans
* Providing consistent, robust and defensible decision making to cases to comply with relevant legislation and regulations (such as Proceeds of Crime Act, Money Laundering Regulations)
* Keeping abreast of all regulatory developments that may impact the function
* Ensure the robust application of all relevant controls as required by Deutsche Bank policies, procedures or guidelines
* Undertaking robust gap analyses when new policies/procedures are issued, ensuring any gaps are documented and remediated in a timely manner

Skills & Qualifications:

* Strong experience and background as an AML Investigations manager, with a knowledge of AML/CTF typologies and trends
* Relevant experience in AFC, with a background in the management of Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing investigations
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
* Experience of Financial Services (in Investment Banking would be particularly beneficial)
* Sound working knowledge in the use and development of third Party Risk Management solutions, Fintech and case management systems
* Relevant Industry qualification such as International Compliance Association (ICA) Diploma, Association of Certified AML Specialists (ACAMS) CAMS certification, or other related AML qualification would be advantageous
* Ability to maintain high energy and enthusiasm levels within your team
* Capable of taking pro-active approach to tasks and responsibilities, coupled with an ability to working efficiently and accurately in a time-pressured environment
