A leading UK Bank currently requires a Product Manager to join their domestic payments team.
The role of the Product Manager is to overseeing and executing product strategies with respect to the development, business management, risk mitigation and commercialisation of the traditional physical payment products in the region and electronic payables and receivables.
You will be responsible for;
*Develop and drive the execution of regional commercialisation and marketing strategy for the assigned products, increase market shares in line with the strategy for Global Business, and contribute to the financial objectives of the business.
*BACS Service User Compliance:- To help set up the processes and scripts for the vendor team that would specifically be deployed for the purpose of resolving the BACS Service User Compliance Issue; Build a plan with key monthly milestones for the vendor team to execute in order to resolve the BACS Service User Compliance Issue.
*BACS Commercialisation - Review the existing client facing documentation and agree on the gaps with the stakeholders; Propose changes to the existing client facing documentation; Seek legal, compliance & marketing approvals and roll out the new documentation to sales and other customer facing teams.
*BACS & Faster Payments MI - Overview of the existing BACS & Faster Payments MI collation process and agree on a process that would provide BACS & Faster Payments MI on a monthly basis providing the desired metrics to key stakeholders
*Cheque imaging Commercialisation - Establish a strong proposition and participate in the Product Governance forums and seek necessary approvals for the product from time to time. Carry out an analysis of the T&Cs for the product and draft, review the T&C amendments and obtain sign offs from the necessary stakeholders. Analyse the costs associated with the product and the potential sources of revenue and build a pricing proposal for the product and implement the agreed pricing strategy and communicate to internal teams, customers, sales and other client facing teams.
*Cheque imaging Communication:-Establish and execute a communication strategy to the wider audience (both internal and external) on an ongoing basis, provide updates to the sales and other client facing teams and build a strong collateral to support the strategy. Build up a strong understanding of the IT infrastructure associated with the proposition including knowledge of approved scanners - including features, limitations to be able to provide information to our customers.
For your application to qualify you will have the following;
*Proven experience in product management including product commercialisation and development in cash management
*Extensive knowledge on corporate treasury and/or accounting functions
*Expertise in payment process and especially products like BACS & Cheques
*Specialist industry experience with strong risk and AML backgrounds
*Strong experience in driving cross-functional initiatives in complex, matrix organisation
*Working knowledge and keen understanding of bank operations, payment systems and technology
*A track record of gaining an understanding of customers' needs and delivering solutions
*Exposure to creating and deploying comprehensive business/operating plans which consistently deliver desired results
*Consistently achieved objectives set for them and taken action to improve their own performance
*Self-awareness with confidence to work independently and take responsibility for own development
*Both spoken and written communication skills with experience of adapting style and approach to the audiences.
*Experience of building effective customer relationships which create customer advocacy
*Availability to undertake the travel required for this role
