Background and Purpose:

Corporate Property undertook a reorganisation in September 2015 and embarked on a recruitment programme to fill the vacancies in the new structure. In February 2016 the Senior Procurement Manager joined Coporate Property and has spent 6 months instilling best practice into the team, introducing procurement process and rigour to the wider CP and across the current procurement pipeline. There is a requirement to underpin this good work and governance with policy, process and guidelines so additional temporary support is required to document and produce a procurement handbook together with providing support to the current portfolio of procurement projects embedding best practice and templates through the procurement cycle.

Job Scope:

Working within the Procurement Team of Corporate Property and directly for the Senior Procurement Manager the role has 2 functions. Primarily, to build on existing work to develop and complete a procurement handbook that reflects the needs of Corporate Property from a BAU procurement perspective though to construction and fit out projects which will include our current property portfolio together with the 328,000 sq ft new build at 10 Fenchurch Avenue (Project Roman). Secondly, to provide practical procurement support during the course of the assignment that will embed the governance and processes so that they become custom and practice. Effectively on the job implementation and parallel running with the existing procurement and wider Corporate Property team to accelerate learning. This will be from building the sourcing strategy through to negotiation, contract execution and handover to the Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) Team where applicable.

Production of a procurement handbook

Production of associated templates and process diagrams

Support the Senior Procurement Manager on procurement activity in the pipeline
