You will join the Client & Data Services (C&DS) Operational Taxes programme, which is a consolidation of a number of similar regulations with a Tax impact on C&DS (Client Onboarding & Know your Client (KYC)). While the programme is designed to ensure that we are compliant with regulations, the secondary driver is to deliver an approach which minimises the impact on CD&S on boarding and supports processes while ensuring that the customer experience is as smooth as possible.

Key responsibilities:

* Understanding regulatory requirements and operational processes implemented to achieve compliance
* Managing the global attestation process for C&DS, while also supporting the update of global Key Operating Procedures (KOP's) for the Pre-existing Accounts Due Diligence (PADD) execution tasks, such as outreach and the processing and validation of tax forms
* Mapping processes/drafting documentation for various operational models, to support regulatory control framework objectives
* Working with multiple Programme Work Streams and Global Teams, to flesh out details for processes/documentation
* Coordinating with senior stakeholders across business lines as part of document reviews
* Coordinating/tracking the progress of all evidentiary documentation to completion
* Writing requirements for Tax PADD initiatives
* Creating metrics and reporting to support programme delivery
* Supporting the team with their questions and escalating to management when necessary
* Developing and maintaining PADD key operating procedures, or localised guidance materials based on the ongoing pipeline of change requests, arising from the client on boarding organisation
* Training both onshore and offshore teams on KOP updates
* Supporing the day to day teams where functions overlap
* Working closely with the Client onboarding teams globally
* Coordinating with the responsible office for Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act (FATCA)/Compliance Review Systems (CRS), Technology and Tax operations
* Supporting tax related remediation teams

Skills and Qualifications:

* A background in tax related processes, with an understanding of tax regulations i.e. FATCA and CRS
* Fluency in English
* Fluency in other European languages (beneficial)
* Strong organisation skills
* A team player, determined and hardworking
* The ability to work under pressure and within tight deadlines with no loss of accuracy
* The ability to work independently
* Able to pay attention to detail and multi-task
* Articulate with strong written and oral communication skills to deal with front office, back office trade capture teams, control areas, Information Technology and clients
* Strong presentation skills
* Able to show initiative and react quickly to changes in priorities
* Confident and determined with a lively and open personality
* The ability to learn new practices and procedures quickly
* Committed to seeing quality results from his/her own endeavours
* Proficient in Microsoft Excel, a competent business user of other Microsoft products and Outlook
* An understanding of the workings of an investment bank and the lifecycle of a trade (beneficial)
* Knowledge of client on boarding and regulators (beneficial)
