Key Accountabilities

* Conduct detailed training needs analysis of the business and design and deliver an organisational development strategy to meet the identified needs
* Drive end to end active talent management throughout the business; upskilling the business on Barclays talent philosophy and process, delivering talent reviews, building tailored development plans and working with the HRD to actively manage the succession pipeline
* Support the development of the Business Area leadership, alongside the activities of the central Group Talent team, drawing on internal and external experts as necessary (e.g. identification of individuals for coaching, support of individual development between formal interventions)
* Act as the Business subject matter expert for the Group CoE's, providing local perspectives on the design and development of products and services
* Responsibility for the business LL&T budget, working with the business COO and Head of LL&T to ensure that spend is allocated and managed effectively
* Manage the yearly business and group LL&T cycle within the business including; implementation of and insights from 'Your View' survey and culture dashboard, quarterly review and update of succession plans, MD promotions process
* Provide ad hoc expertise and guidance to the business on all areas of LL&T, including but not limited to;, design and delivery of optimal operating models, LL&T strategy, vendor and faculty management, coaching recommendations and governance

Stakeholder Management and Leadership

* Establish and manage strong relationships with senior business stakeholders (up to and including MD's) in order to gain a deep understanding of the business strategy
* Build and manage strong working relationships with HRD's and HRBP's in order to develop, agree and execute an integrated OD strategy and action plans for the business
* Work with the wider Barclays LL&T teams and Group Talent to ensure consistency in development frameworks, communication plans and tools and templates.
* Work with external SME's and thought leaders to ensure that Barclays in ahead of the curve on LL&T theory and best practise

Person Specification


* Extensive experience (minimum 5 years) partnering a global business client group in a Financial Services or "blue chip" Corporate environment
* Extensive experience providing guidance to a business in the following areas: Organisation Development, Talent management, Senior Leadership Development. Learning, Succession planning, Active Talent Development and Culture implementation
* Must have a track record of managing large scale global business projects and programmes including design, deployment and budget management
* Experience working as part of a global cross cluster team
