The role is for a Java Software Engineer to work within Listed Derivative Electronic trading on the Client Connectivity program. The team are responsible for providing FIX client connectivity to external and internal clients globally. The role requires close working ties with the downstream OMS platform and team.

Key Responsibilities:

* Participating in back-end components development/re-engineering
* Providing effective technical solutions
* Performing code reviews, ensuring code/design quality
* Automated tests development for each code change
* Accurate tasks progress and time reporting
* Effective communication with stakeholders
* SL3 support and bugfixing
* Release activities: release instruction and production rollout review and support

Skills & Qualifications:

* Hands-on experience of professional development on Java
* Excellent knowledge of core Java (collections, multithreading, memory consumption, GC)
* Basic UNIX shell knowledge as a minimum
* Basic SQL is a minimum (knowledge of joins, aggregative functions, Data Manipulation Language (DML)
* Good analytical and problem solving skills
* Experience with FIX protocol and market connectivity applications (beneficial)
* Experience in working with high frequency/low latency data processing systems (beneficial)
* Experience with high volume data processing systems (beneficial)
* Experience implementing fault-tolerant / load-balancing solutions (beneficial)
