Intern - junior portfolio construction analyst

Overall Purpose of the Job:
· Responsible for developing quantitative techniques that support Portfolio Construction Team and Portfolio Managers in their investment decisions.
The techniques will aim to enhance the investments teams capabilities to deliver the desired performance to the different managed portfolios.  The candidate will use the financials theory and literatures to design new ideas and techniques
· Designing and implementing prototypes to support the proposed quantitative approaches and to assess their effectiveness before their migration into the global system.
· The candidate will support other Portfolio construction members in their daily activities to optimise the structure of the funds by seeking new ways of constructing portfolios and challenging investment ideas.
· Contribute to the design of the proprietary risk systems to support Risk budgeting and active risk management
· The Candidate will have the opportunity to cover different asset classes (equities, Fixed Income, Multi-strategies) and different topic in the Portfolio Construction activities (optimization, indexation, performance, risk analysis…)
Main Accountabilities:
· Analysis and optimisation of the performance/risk composition of all our portfolios under management
· Developing models to identify the factors that drive performance and enhance it
· Design new techniques aiming to improve the performance profile of the portfolios
· Improve the analytical data quality and support the investment decision through quantitative tools.
· Regular reporting on funds’ performance and risk composition to portfolio managers and senior management
