You'll work, as Director of the Application Integration Platform (AIP) engineering. You'll drive the Platform-As-A-Service (PaaS) transformation of the infrastructure and concur with the Architecture team to define the technical strategy to implement, maintain and support the messaging infrastructure. You'll lead the delivery as well the reliability engineering of mission critical messaging services essential to the organisation.

You'll be collaborative, client focused and able to manage a geographically distributed team of highly talented and focused engineering.

Key Responsibilities:

* Ensuring solution delivery and service reliability of AIP used by the various asset classes globally in the bank
* Delivering and providing oversight for complex technology projects and programs using project management skills
* Leading complex multinational deliveries managing teams distributed across the globe
* Providing guidance and governance for the AIP architecture
* Overseeing the development of tools and solutions for AIP services around Design, HA/DR, Monitoring, Capacity and Best Practices
* Articulating targets and needs to a stakeholder up to CXO levels
* Being responsible for AIP delivery including packaging, installation, and configuration
* Ensuring all deliverables adhere to Deutsche Bank standards and procedures
* Ensuring common and coherent best practices around quality assurance testing, including functional, performance/scalability and regression testing
* Identifying and assessing risks, determining impact to platform and mitigation plans
* Manage Level 3 support for all AIP

Skills & Qualifications:

* Extensive experience encompassing development/engineering/management
* High level of relevant in-depth work experience managing multiple engineering teams
* Good working knowledge of the most common messaging middleware and protocols
* Protocols: JMS, AMQP, MQTT etc
* Middleware: IBM MQ, Solace, Tibco EMS, ActiveMQ etc
* Good working knowledge of integration platforms (i.e. Tibco BusinessWork, Mule, Camel, RedHat Fuse etc.)
* Strong programming experience in at least one of: C, C++, Java, and/or .NET
* Strong development management background
* Good knowledge of MicroService patterns and "twelve factors"
* Experience with Web Technologies and Tools: HTTP, XML, SOAP, Web Services
* Experience with Unix Technologies and Tools is a plus: SUSE and/or Redhat Linux, Solaris, Bash, Ksh, Perl, Python and Systems Administration skills
* Experience with Cloud platforms, PaaS and containerization ( ideally exposure to RedHat Openshift, Docker and Kubernetes )
* Working experience of Project Management tools and methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Clarity, Prince )
* Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university with a concentration in an IT‐related discipline (or equivalent diploma/work experience)
