Employee compliance project manager - senior business analyst

The Technology teams supporting Compliance are responsible for developing and managing systems that are used by Compliance officers to control and monitor our adherence to regulatory policies, standards, and processes. You will be joining the Compliance Technology team for the Employee Compliance program. The team is focused on analysing, defining, building and testing new systems and enhancements, while making sure existing systems are well-maintained within the Employee Compliance program. The program covers licensing and registration, employee trading, outside business interests and employee attestation.

Key Responsibilities:

* Taking accountability for individual analysis work-streams
* Transforming high level business goals into low level requirements to define the scope of a project
* Gathering, verifying, analysing and documenting business requirements
* Analysing data and systems to support documentation and understanding of the as-is and to-be state
* Gaining client and Information Technology (IT) sign-off for requirements documents and specifications by conducting walkthroughs, presentations and formal reviews
* Working closely with the development teams to develop functional specifications and technical designs
* Planning, scripting, managing and executing acceptance testing - both User Acceptance Testing (UAT), with the client performing execution and acceptance testing prior to UAT start
* Mentoring and coaching other Business Analyst's (BA) and contributing to the enhancement of the overall BA community of practice

Skills & Qualifications:

* Sound knowledge of Equity, Fixed Income and Financial Exchange products across the whole trading lifecycle, including common Equity / Fixed Income derivative products
* Previous experience of working as a Technical Business Analyst in a financial services organisation, experience in a tier 1 investment bank / consulting position is beneficial
* Knowledge of the key responsibilities of an investment bank's Compliance department, previous experience in Control Room, Licensing, Front Office Registration and Outside Business Interests would be beneficial
* Extensive experience of business process mapping and on-boarding workflows
* In-depth understanding of business analysis, including knowledge of at least one requirements management / modelling tool, with the ability to select the right tools or methodologies for a given task
* Proven experience of writing test plans, scripts and cases
* Good understanding of the technology project lifecycle of both Waterfall and Agile methodologies
* Systems and data analysis skills, including SQL, Oracle and desktop data analysis tools, data modelling / warehousing experience would be beneficial
* Aptitude to work effectively with all levels of clients and IT stakeholders up to and including director
* Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal, with both technical and non-technical audiences
