Data analyst (tm1)

The UK FTP Readiness Programme will use a Big Data to deliver a singular and granular platform for MI across the bank. As part of this work, and before the Big Data platform is available for use, an accelerated project (UK FTP Readiness) is in flight for the UK to rebuild their Business Finance architecture to be able to take data from the UK ledger, process it through a single allocations platform and output this to existing MI and external reporting platforms.

The analyst will report into the UK FTP Readiness project manager and will be required to work on the below tasks;

* Access input data used as an input for Business Finance processes
* Analyse input data for gaps and/or data quality issues
* Remediate data granularity / data quality issues
* Provide solutions for mapping rules to transform data into the required COA for internal reporting

The analyst will interface with input data and COO SMEs to facilitate the above

Major Challenges

Extensive experience in managing and analyzing data is required for this role. The role holder will be required to show an excellent understanding of complex data as well as the mapping and allocation rules applied to the data

The role holder will also require a good working knowledge of TM1. Back end / development experience is desirable

Project tasks and work packages will reflect the above and will be given on a SMART basis

Role Context

The role will operate within the UK FTP Readiness project team. There are no directs to manage as part of the role. The role holder will be expected to reach out to business andtechnical stakeholders as required. Project documentation and the relevant training will be provided to ensure the role holder understand the following:

* What is driving the project
* Approach to project delivery
* Timeline to delivery
* The project team, structure & wider stakeholders

Knowledge & Experience / Qualifications

Data literate with the ability to manage and analyse large and complex sets of data and associated mapping rules.

Understanding, experience and ability to talk through data concepts such as dimensions, measures, metrics, KPIs

COMPUTER SKILLS IBM Cognos TM1, Advanced Excel, Access, Visio, PowerPoint
