Commercial Planning manager in Core Networks

Overall purpose of role:
* Service Requirements - In conjunction with other Commercial Planning Managers, the relevant Service Managers and other stakeholders manage pre-contract vendor engagement to ensure service requirements and performance standards are defined and documented.
* Contract Negotiation - Assist with the negotiation of the service aspects of vendor contracts
* Commercial Planning - Develop commercial plans to deliver service strategy and business objectives as well as contract renewal schedule
* Commercial Support - Provide in-contract commercial support to service and support teams to ensure effective delivery of vendor contracts and resolution of supplier payment issues
Key Accountabilities and Skills required:
o Define, agree and communicate standards and templates for managing vendor Service requirements and performance standards in line with overall Network Technologies services strategy.
o In conjunction with Network Technologies Commercial Planning Manager, Service Managers and clients, define specific vendor Service requirements, performance standards and key success criteria for input into vendor Contracts.
o Support the negotiation and on-going management of Network Technologies contracts through the full contract lifecycle.
o Establish a framework to effectively manage and monitor Network Technology vendor performance to meet or exceed service requirements and contractual performance standards
o Establish a framework to effectively monitor the delivery of vendor Service improvement plans
o Establish a framework to effectively track Network Technologies vendor requirements through the contract lifecycle and internal governance processes.
o Develop strategies working with the relevant stakeholders to maximize the value of 3rd party service provision to Network Technologies and Barclays
o Develop and execute agreed commercial plans for Network Technology vendors in conjunction with business and service requirements and technology roadmaps
o Ensure effective asset, risk and compliance management is an integral part of Network Technology vendor contracts in line with Audit, CIGLS, Control Framework, ITSCM and other relevant Regulatory requirements
o Co-ordination and tracking of vendor financial management ensuring delivery against financial commitments and business plans.
o Input into business cases working with the relevant stakeholders to deliver the Service Roadmaps and maintain the lifecycle management of the Network technology vendors and contracts
o Stakeholder management and leadership.
o Adhere to financial plans, processes and IS commitments.
o Provide input to the recruitment of resources required to meet future demands for delivering against planned goals and objectives of Infrastructure
o Undertake work outside of direct responsibility when required on behalf of the Network Technologies leadership team
o Represent Network Technologies both internally and externally to the Barclays Group.
o Strong communication skills to enable building of effective relationships across teams within Barclays, key stakeholders and also suppliers.
o Decision making and problem solving.
o Strong analytical skills with the ability to assimilate large amounts of complex business data to reach objective decisions swiftly, honestly, assertively and constructively.
o Experience of managing complex technology Contracts within a Financial Services or similar environment

Your Skills and Qualifications will include
o Experience of contract planning, renewal and supplier management best practices
o Experience of end to end vendor payment lifecycle and issue resolution (purchase order, invoicing, payment)
o Evidence of driving suppliers to deliver service improvements or change programmes to improve overall supplier performance and achieve business objectives.
o Core understanding of how to define, document and embed processes.
o Awareness of LEAN/Six Sigma methodologies to apply to existing processes to facilitate continual process improvement
o Extensive experience within a customer service environment
o Organisational awareness and understanding of how service stability can be maximised through leveraging technology and process.
o Knowledge of IT structure and functions within Barclays and the services and product set of IS.
o Core understanding of both Barclays & IS strategy, design and business direction.
o Awareness of relevant service and supplier change plans.
o Extensive knowledge of analytic techniques and methods.
o Basic knowledge of business change processes, methods and tools.
o Core understanding of service and supplier management processes and methods.
o Core understanding of acceptance and integration process and methods.
o Core understanding of Project and Change Management Processes.
o Awareness of risk and governance, including supplier governance.
