Team Overview

The Corporate & Regulatory Business Analysis Team consists of 10 Business Analysts working across a range of Corporate & Regulatory initiatives. The team is part of the Global Corporate & Regulatory IT department within the Global Technology Division. The team works closely with users in Finance, HR, Legal, Compliance, Risk, Treasury and Corporate Services and acts as the first point of entry for new requirements and offers business analysis and project preparation to support projects and small change.

Overview of role

This role is part of a team focused on delivering a global, enterprise wide source of IMA data; which includes:

1 scanned images of the actual IMA and associated documents - searchable on key terms
2 a database of key data fields which can be searched and reported across individual and multiple mandates

Key Duties:

* Developing a data model in line with the Global Data Model (GDM) and easily extendable to add further terms if required
* Writing technical specifications
* Translate user requirements into viable technical solutions and interpret technical issues to non technical persons
* Provide an effective link between the Business and the Development teams
* Develop effective relationships with Technology and Business teams
* Provide support and input to the Distribution Business change team

Essential Skills

* Experience of working within an Asset Management organisation, and an understanding of the terminology around IMA agreements.
* Proven track record of formulating, influencing and shaping credible solutions.
* Can interpret business ideas/requirements and develop high-level process solutions and understand their implications
* Strong knowledge of data modelling techniques
* Understanding of an end-to-end IT environment and able to have informed conversations across all technology teams
* Excellent soft skills and relationship management
* Strong communication skills; able to clearly articulate to senior stake-holders
* Ability to work autonomously and on own initiative
* Can make key judgements when required and be able to justify the decision
* Willing to challenge openly and constructively
