Our client based in Poole are searching for an Accounts Assistant to join their team on a part time basis. Your duty will be to maintain an accurate Purchase Ledger and Sales Ledger.



Purchase Ledger -

Using the Cash Sheets raised enter Supplier DD & BACS payments to Purchase Ledger Suppliers accounts via Access Dimensions, taking care to allocate to correct invoice. Investigate any payments without invoices on the system.

Code Supplier invoices with help from Accounts Manager, check against purchase orders raised with the delivery notes received that goods have come in & liaise with end user for signature. When signed off by end user batch invoices & input to system. Run invoice report & check invoice number & total invoice value for duplication & vat.

Sales Ledger -

Using the Cash Sheets raised input receipts received for Sales Ledger Customers via Access Dimensions, investigate any receipts without invoices on the system. File save copy of cash sheet along with PDF remittances to allocated files. Contact Customer if older invoices are still outstanding in case they have not received them. Make notes on the accounts system

Using the Debtors List when invoices are past 30 days overdue contact Customer to check that invoices has been received. Enter any notes onto Access Dimension and follow up with reminder letter by email. Any Customers that have not replied or serious non-payment inform Accounts Manager.

Other duties:

* Bank Reconciliation
* Enter cash sheets information onto the cash flow spreadsheet
* Check expense sheets for receipts & VAT
* Enter selected Journals for Account Manager at month end

Additional Information

* £10.25 - £11 per hour
* 20 hours per week
